Old oak from the exterior of barns has a unique appearance. This grey oak panel is slightly different from oak panels made from wood used indoors. Because it has been exposed to the elements for many decades, it develops a unique structure and colour nuance. Along with this character comes the natural movement of oak, which, while robust, is not desirable in every application. Therefore, we have bonded this as a 3-layer panel, with the exterior of the old oak on one side as butt-jointed lamellas. This creates a beautiful panel for kitchens and sliding doors, for example.
