Sometimes you come across a barn where the beam structure is so beautiful and characteristic that it would be a shame to saw it up. We sort these beams by thickness and width to provide a standard. These beams have an irregular shape, which adds character. This also creates some variation in dimensions, resulting in a playful effect. These are 15 x 15 cm beams that are often hand-hewn and show signs of wear; a characteristic notch hints at a previous life. The beams come from old barns in Austria and the surrounding area.
