Normandy Barnwood Boards

Normandy Barnwood Boards

Barnwood Normandy is made from old fruit crates. The bottoms of these crates in which fruit is harvested are exposed to the elements of nature. These rough planks are great for panelling but we have also managed to turn them into boards. The planks are de-nailed and brushed before being cut to an 8 mm board. These planks, about 10 cm wide and 100-120 cm long, are glued in a random pattern to a birch plywood board. This creates a board with lots of natural colour variation and texture.
