The certification mark for responsible forest management.
FSC Recycled.
Plancker has been FSC certified since September 2017. In doing so, we have opted not only for the regular FSC standard, whereby we purchase and sell certified wood, but also for the FSC standard in which so-called reclaimed wood is transformed into FSC recycled wood: the FSC 40007 standard.
By also certifying ourselves according to this FSC standard, we can issue an FSC claim on (initially uncertified) wood that has demonstrably already reached its final destination and is given a new purpose by us. This serves as confirmation that the reused wood is sustainable wood. This is, of course, at least as good as selling wood that comes from an FSC-certified forest, since not a single tree (extra) has been felled for this new product.

What is FSC?
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an organization that advocates for responsible forest management. This takes ecological, social, and economic aspects into account. To this end, the FSC has ten guidelines, the FSC Principles. If forest management complies with these FSC guidelines, wood from these forests may be sold with an FSC claim.
Why FSC.
Forests are perhaps our most precious asset. This applies to the people and animals that depend on them directly or indirectly. By harvesting and selling wood according to FSC guidelines, we ensure that forests worldwide are restored and protected. In addition, FSC encourages the reuse of wood. This contributes to a climate-friendly and circular economy.
