Our Barnwood furniture panels

Kitchens and cabinets with character, made from historic wood

Customers say

We have been working with Plancker for years. Whereas we used to process the barnwood ourselves, the current boards are a godsend. Saves a lot of time and money.

Furniture panels for high-level interior projects

At Plancker, we work daily with wood that has already lived a full life. Our Barnwood furniture panels are perhaps the most tangible way to pass on that story. This old wood, often sourced from centuries-old farmhouses, barns, and alpine mountain structures, is carefully selected, dismantled, and rebuilt by us into high-quality, usable panels. What begins as weathered planks full of history ends as a stable, ready-to-use panel prepared for high-level interior projects.

Authentic appearance

Barnwood furniture panels are ideal for applications where aesthetics and technical reliability must come together. Think of kitchen cabinets, fronts, custom furniture, shop interiors, and hospitality projects. Over time, the wood has developed unique discoloration from sun, wind, and rain. This natural graying and weathered texture give every piece of furniture a warm appearance driven by authentic craftsmanship.

We ensure that the material is technically sound. Our historic wood is kiln-dried to approx. KD12%, making it immediately suitable for interior construction. This means less movement, better stability, and an optimal end result. Once assembled into panels, they are easy for furniture makers and interior builders to work with: flat, sturdy, and surprisingly versatile in design and finish.

A real interior

The beauty of Barnwood furniture panels is that they are not only functionally strong but also convey emotion. It feels warm, lively, and authentic—exactly what designers look for when they want to create spaces where people feel at home. Whether it’s a modern kitchen with bold fronts, a boutique interior with character, or a rustic atmosphere full of texture: Barnwood always adds something extra.

Sustainable alternative

Furthermore, working with Barnwood is sustainable. By reusing this historic wood, we retain the stored CO₂ and prevent valuable material from being lost. In this way, our furniture panels contribute to circular projects that must be future-proof.

The perfect color

At Plancker, we enjoy guiding our customers in choosing the right color, grade, and structure. Our Barnwood collection consists of various lines and shades — from silver-grey to warm brown — ensuring every design gets exactly the look it deserves. See below for a selection of the results.
